This Isn’t Just a Comeback.
It’s a Community-Powered Dream.

I’m Lauren Wilson — lifelong sailor, mom of two, creative director, and Olympic hopeful. I grew up sailing in Coronado, joined the U.S. Sailing Team as a teenager, and stepped away from the Olympic path to build a family, a career, and a life I love.

Two decades later, I’ve stepped back into the ILCA 6 with the same fire I had at 17 — and a whole lot more grit. In 2025, I completed a full ILCA 6 season, finished as a Top 10 Female in the ILCA-NA Grand Prix Standings, and qualified for the ILCA World Championships… all while unknowingly racing with a hernia that would later require full abdominal reconstruction.

This isn’t a story about going back.
It’s about going forward — with purpose, resilience, and support from the people who believe in second winds.

Lauren Wilson stands on the beach beside her ILCA 6 dinghy, half launched in the water, as her daughter Zoe kisses her cheek before a regatta — capturing the family-powered support behind her Olympic sailing campaign.

This campaign isn’t just about medals.

It’s about momentum, visibility, and rewriting what’s possible for women, working parents, and mid-career athletes.

The journey to LA28 requires:

  • Boats for travel regattas

  • Coaching and training blocks

  • National & international regatta travel

  • Gear, logistics, and charter fees

And while I pour everything I can into this dream, I can’t do it alone.

Your support — financial, emotional, and through sharing my story — is what makes this campaign possible.

Because when moms chase big dreams, kids learn that they can too. And when women show up on the starting line, the whole sport moves forward with them.

Watching her mom's strength and momentum grow is inspiring little Zoe to know that she can do anything she puts her mind to
